Amazon.com removed doormats resembling the Indian tri-colour flag from its Canadian website on Wednesday, after an Indian government threat to rescind visas of the US company's employees if they did not stop selling the product.

"Amazon must tender unconditional apology," external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said on Twitter. "They must withdraw all products insulting our national flag immediately."

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a plea on lifting the ban on the bull-taming sport of Jallikattu, a day after the AIADMK urged the Prime Minister to immediately issue an ordinance to remove bulls from the list of animals that are banned from being exhibited or trained so that there Jallikattu could be held smoothly this year.

Flaying Sebi for delaying probe “only for a trivial issue”, the Supreme Court on Tuesday asked it to expedite inquiry within six months against audit firm Pricewaterhouse in the Rs 7,000-crore Satyam Computer Services scam.

Sebi is investigating the role of the auditing firm that was the external auditor for the scam-tainted company between 2000 and 2008. Two senior partners—S Gopalakrishnan and Srinivas Talluri—had certified Satyam’s audit reports in that period.
