Mandarin Airlines serves about 15 domestic and international short-haul destinations, offering passengers scheduled and chartered flights. The airline also provides cargo services and integrates flight, boat and ground transfers for passengers traveling to and from Kinmen and Amoy in mainland China. Founded in 1991, the company merged with Formosa Airlines in 1999; it is a subsidiary of China Airlines. The golden eagle Hai Tung Ching, which according to an old Chinese legend has a small but agile body, is the company's logo.
