National Manufacturing's name doesn't do the scope of its operations, or its geographic reach, justice. Also known as National Hardware, the company makes a vast array (6,900 SKUs) of builders' hardware and home improvement products, including bolts, pulleys, and other attachment items; garage-door, gate, and rail components; hasps, hinges, hex keys, locks and latches, screen- and storm-door accessories, screwdrivers, and wrenches. In addition, it provides hardware retailers with inventory, packaging, and merchandising services. National Manufacturing, which operates in the US, Mexico, and Canada, started off in 1901 as a small wagon company in Sterling, Illinois. Stanley Black & Decker owns the company.
