China Merchants Bank is one of China's top five banks and with 53 million credit cards, its largest issuer. CMB offers businesses and individuals a range of financial services, including credit cards, savings accounts, mortgage loans, ATMs, foreign exchange trading, and on-line banking service. CMBC was founded in 1996 and was China's first commercial bank to be owned by mostly non-government entities.

Chinatrust Financial Holding (CFHC) is one of Taiwan's largest financial services groups. It operates Chinatrust Commercial Bank, which has more than 140 domestic branches and more than 70 overseas. The group provides general banking services including corporate and consumer loans, financial consulting, checking and savings accounts, letters of credit, commercial drafts, collections and payments, and credit cards. It also offers property/casualty insurance, life insurance, investments, and other related financial services. Overseas, the bank operates subsidiaries in the US, Canada, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The predecessor to the family-owned CFHC was founded in 1966.

Chong Hing Bank (CHB) offers retail and wholesale banking services and products, including deposit accounts, mortgage and automobile loans, corporate banking, and trade financing. The company has approximately 50 branches in Hong Kong and a handful of branches and representative offices in China and the US. Through subsidiaries, CHB also offers insurance and re-insurance investment services, securities trading, and commodities. Its Chong Hing Securities unit offers MPF (pension fund) services. The managing Liu family founded CHB as Liu Chong Hing Bank in 1948.

The banking services group includes Chuo Mitsui Trust and Banking (retail trust, banking, real estate, and stock transfer services) and Chuo Mitsui Asset (pension and securities trusts). Chuo Mitsui Asset owns investment trust and private equity managers Chuo Mitsui Asset Management and Chuo Mitsui Capital. The group has units in the US, the UK, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, and China. Chuo Mitsui Trust and Sumitomo Trust & Banking plan to merge, with Chuo Mitsui as the surviving entity. Renamed Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings, the combined company will be Japan's largest asset management group.
