Bike-taxi aggregator, Rapido on Monday, unveiled a new service of ‘bike parcel’ in Karnataka, after the Karnataka High Court refused to stay an earlier order halting all bike taxi services in the state.

The order came after the Karnataka government confirmed it had taken a policy decision not to permit such operations.

The Gujarat government is accelerating the development of residential infrastructure in Dholera to support the upcoming ₹91,000 crore semiconductor fabrication plant by the Tata Group. A total of 1,500 serviced apartments are being constructed to accommodate expatriates, Tata employees, and workers from the company’s supplier network and partner ecosystem, according to a report by The Economic Times.

India's active Covid-19 cases witnessed a sharp rise following a brief decline on Friday. The active Covid-19 tally has risen to 7,400, with 269 new infections reported in the past 24 hours, according to the latest data released on Saturday by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The report also confirmed nine fatalities during the same period.

Of the nine reported fatalities, four were from Maharashtra, three from Kerala, and one each from Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

The Karnataka High Court on Friday refused to stay a single-judge bench's order suspending bike and taxi services in the state from June 16.

The appeal filed challenging the order issued by the single-judge bench to cancel bike taxis was heard by a two-judge bench of Acting Chief Justice Kameswar Rao and Justice Sreenivas Harish Kumar.
