NEW DELHI: The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and Nasdaq are looking to jointly invest in startups and launch each other’s indices in the US and India as part of their tie-up that goes beyond technology.

Nasdaq’s venture fund invests in companies with technologies that are often deployed for its use and NSE may jointly invest in India, Israel or the Silicon Valley, the Indian exchange’s managing director and CEO Vikram Limaye said.

Vishvapradhan Commercial Pvt Ltd (VCPL) has decided to appeal against the Securities and Exchange Board of India's (Sebi's) order issued last Tuesday directing the company to make an open offer within 45 days to acquire shares of NDTV Ltd.

The mega-merger deal of Idea Cellular and Vodafone India did not meet the expected June 30 timeline. A source told PTI that the telecom department is looking to raise a fresh demand of around Rs 4,700 crore related to one-time spectrum charges (OTSC) on the company. DoT will ask Vodafone to either clear dues or furnish bank guarantee before merger with Idea.
