The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Tuesday allowed insolvency proceedings against Reliance Communication (RCom) after the debt-laden firm withdrew its petition challenging a decision of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to initiate such proceedings.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi), which probed alleged lapses in the high-frequency trading offered through National Stock Exchange (NSE)'s co-location facility, has directed the bourse to pay Rs 625 crore along with the interest. Sebi estimated that NSE had earned a profit of Rs 624.89 crore during 2010-11 to 2013-14 from its co-location operation.

Dewan Housing Finance Company (DHFL) has paid interest and principal amount, aggregating Rs 832 crore, to investors on debentures on Tuesday.

These non-convertible debentures were issued on a private placement basis, DHFL said in a statement.

India is planning to launch its radar imaging satellite RISAT 2BR1 sometime towards the end of May 2019 on one of the variants of its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket, sources said on Tuesday.

New Delhi: State-owned power giant NTPC on Tuesday said it will raise Rs3,056.50 crore on Friday through issuance of bonds on a private placement basis.

"NTPC has decided to raise ₹3,056.50 crore on 3 May 2019, (Friday) through private placement of secured non-convertible bonds in the nature of debentures at a coupon of 7.93% per annum with a door-to-door maturity of three years," the company said in a statement.

New Delhi: TVS Motor Company on Tuesday reported a 19.2% decline in its standalone profit after tax (PAT) to ₹133.8 crore for the fourth quarter of 2018-19. The company had posted a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹165.6 crore a year ago.

Revenue from operations rose to 4,384.02 crore in the fourth quarter, against ₹4,007.24 crore a year ago, TVS Motor Company said in a regulatory filing.

US automaker Ford will continue to sell diesel models in India and has no plans to pull the plug on such vehicles, a senior company official Tuesday said.

The automaker, which sells models like EcoSport and Endeavour in the country through a wholly-owned subsidiary, said it would also be ready with BS VI-compliant diesel powertrains for its model range before the April 1, 2020 deadline.

Amazon.com Inc's India unit saw a 56 per cent rise in the number of local merchants selling to international markets, hitting export sales of over $1 billion, the company said on Tuesday.

Indian merchants were exporting more than 140 million products on Amazon's app and website, with cumulative sales expected to top $5 billion in the next four years, country head Amit Agarwal told reporters in Bengaluru.
