New Delhi: Starting from today, you have to shell out more to buy Maruti Suzuki cars. India’s largest carmaker has announced a price hike of up to Rs 10,000 for select models, owing to the adverse impact of increase in commodity prices and foreign exchange rates, the company said in a press release.

The company will inspect a possible defect in fuel filter of 5,900 Super Carry vehicles manufactured between April 26, 2018, and August 1, 2018, MSI said in a regulatory filing.

The largest car maker of the country, however, did not specify by how much the prices of its vehicles would increase. Maruti officials said they were working out the range of hike.
