Breedon Aggregates (formerly Ennstone) produces aggregates, asphalt, and ready-mix concrete at facilities in England and Scotland. Its products and contracting services are used in the construction and building sectors. Breedon includes about 30 quarries, 20 asphalt plants, and another 30 concrete plants throughout the UK. The company was created in 2010 after its predecessor Ennstone emerged from administration. The global economic downturn sunk the company as demand for its products fell. Ennstone's operations were restructured and recapitalized by Breedon Holdings, which was then acquired by investment firm Marwyn Materials and then changed to Breedon Aggregates.
