The company, which also provides broadband Internet service, has more than 80 offices and eight call centers across Italy. UK-based Vodafone Group owns 77% of Vodafone Omnitel; Verizon Communications, headquartered in New York, owns the remaining 23% stake.

The company serves about 4 million subscribers over its nationwide cellular network based on GSM (global system for mobile communications) technology. In addition to mobile telecom services, which include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia downloads and mobile Web access, Vodafone Portugal offers fixed-line voice and data telecom services to corporate clients throughout the country.
