Benjamin "Bud" Denihan, Sr. founded the company's first hotel, Lyden Gardens, in 1962, and the Denihan family still owns and operates DHG Management Company, LLC. DHG Management Company (doing business as Denihan Hospitality Group) has an affinity for luxury accommodations. The company owns Affinia Hotels, which has four locations in Manhattan (Affinia 50, Affinia Dumont, Affinia Gardens, and Affinia Manhattan). Evans Hotels Corporation company is a resort property owner with three swank hotels on the Pacific ocean in San Diego (The Lodge at Torrey Pines, Catamaran Resort Hotel, and Bahia Resort Hotel). But it also owns the Bahia Sternwheelers, two luxurious multi-level paddlewheelers that ferry passengers between three Mission Bay resorts.
