Kampgrounds of America (KOA) won't win any spelling bees, but that doesn't stop this kompany from running the largest network of kommercial kampsites in North America. There are some 500 KOA campgrounds across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Japan; many of the campgrounds are franchised operations. The campgrounds feature RV hookups, showers, laundry facilities, swimming pools, restrooms, playgrounds, and Internet access. KOA was founded in 1962 by a group of Billings, Montana, businessmen looking to cash in on campers' need for campsites on their way to the Seattle World's Fair.

Kinseth Hospitality began in 1963 when Ken & Cyrena Kinseth bought the Cliff House, a small hotel located in Decorah, Iowa. With a lot of hard work and support from their children, (Les, Linda, Bruce and Gary) they expanded the property into a thriving 120-room hotel and restaurant. After selling the Cliff House in 1977 the Kinseth family bought a Best Western in Council Bluffs, Iowa and then another in Clear Lake. They gained considerable experience in all areas of the hotel and restaurant industry. The four siblings set out to expand the organization their parents had founded.

Lane Hospitality, a division of Lane Industries, is a Northbrook, Illinois-based hospitality company that has successfully owned and managed hotel properties since 1986. Formed by the Lane family with three hotels, we currently have 23 properties and nearly 3,400 guestrooms in our portfolio, and are continuing to expand. CEO Larry Blumberg developed his first hotel -- it is still managed by LBA -- in 1972.
