Cold Rock Management helps keep Australians cool with ice cream. Cold Rock Management Pty Ltd. is a leading franchisor of frozen treat outlets with its chain of about 85 Cold Rock Ice Creamery locations. The shops feature a variety of ice cream flavors, gelato, and sorbet, along with a menu of ingredients such as nuts, cookies, candies, and fruits that can be mixed into the ice cream. Each Cold Rock location features a refrigerated granite slab used for combining the ice cream with the additional ingredients. Started in the mid-1990s, the Cold Rock chain is owned by Franchised Food Company (FFC), a multi-concept franchising business controlled by Stan Gordon.

And now, more than 1,400 stores later, people have really warmed up to their cool idea.

Consilience Restaurants owns and operates a small portfolio of upscale dining and drinking spots in the Dallas area. Its restaurants include the Cuba Libre Café, Hibiscus, The Porch, and Westside Tavern. Consilient Restaurants, L.P. also operates Victor Tango's, an upscale cocktail bar. In addition to its signature destinations, Consilience Restaurants operates a small chain of gourmet pizza joints under the name Fireside Pies. CEO Tristan Simon founded the restaurant company in 1999.

Consolidated Restaurants operates about a dozen upscale and casual-dining restaurants in the Seattle area, including DC's Grill, The Metropolitan Grill, Steamer's Seafood Cafe, Quincy's Chargrilled Burgers, and Wing Dome Restaurants, and Elliott's Oyster House. Consolidated Restaurants' Royal Argosy is a fine dining dinner ship (operating in partnership with Argosy Cruises) that offers lunch and dinner cruises around Puget Sound. The late David Cohn founded Consolidated Restaurants as Barb Enterprises when he opened his first restaurant in Seattle in 1951.
