Fireside Coffee was first made by Carol Davis to give as a special gift for friends and relatives at Christmas time. In 1988, after rave reviews, Carol decided to try her hand at selling her special Cinnamon Chocolate coffee at local craft fairs. Fireside Coffee Co. was born. By 1991, Carol had added several more delicious flavors to the Fireside Coffee line and had begun selling her coffees to stores and at folk art shows across the country. The tradition continues today. You can still find Carol doing several of the shows yearly (she loves to stay in touch with her customers), but Fireside now has multiple teams of exhibitors and sales reps to help her out. In 1993, Carol's home-based business had expanded to a two-building production and office facility in the small town of Swartz Creek, Michigan, where it continues today. Its product line has increased to 8 flavors of Fireside Coffee that is available in both regular and decaf, 5 flavors in sugar free, two seasonal flavors and Fireside Chai in three flavors. Despite the many changes and growth stages over the years, Carol's commitment to quality and her family values have made Fireside Coffee Company, Inc. an honest and caring company. They are active in their local community and make many donations yearly to promote local school and charity events. The First Colony Coffee & Tea Company is owned by 96,000 Colombian coffee growers, who are members of the Columbian coffee cooperative, Federaci�n Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia - Comit� Departamental de Cafeteros de Antioquia. They supply First Colony with its raw material -- coffee beans. The company makes hand-selected, hand-roasted, Arabica coffees under the First Colony name. In addition it makes branded flavored coffees for Ghirardelli, Jack Daniel's, Southern Comfort, Tia Maria, and Carolan's Irish Cream. First Colony also makes Benchley teas. The company primarily serves the restaurant industry. It offers private-label services, supplying some of the US's largest department stores.
