Virage Logic Corporation company was founded in 1995 and is based in Fremont, California. Virage Logic Corporation (Virage Logic) provides semiconductor intellectual property (IP) and services to more than 400 semiconductor companies worldwide. In September 2009, the Company acquired publicly held ARC International plc (ARC International or ARC), a provider of consumer IP to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and semiconductor companies globally. In November 2009, the Company acquired from NXP B.V., a semiconductor company founded by Royal Philips Electronics Inc., certain rights to IP assets associated with selected NXP advanced CMOS libraries, IP blocks and system-On-chip (SoC) infrastructure along with other classes of semiconductor IP, including approximately 25 associated patent families and certain related equipment.
