The flat twin air/oil cooled boxer engine on the HP2 Sport is a DOHC, electronic fuel injected unit displacing 1170 cc with a bore X stroke ratio of 101X 73 mm and a compression ratio of 12.5:1.
The bike is ably supported by its lightweight forged and milled 5 double spoke 17 inch wheels that have 120/70 tubeless tyres up front and 190/55 tubeless tyres at the rear.
Performance and handling on the HP2 Sport are simply mind numbing and the bike has proven itself again and again on the road as well as on the track.
It’s got a low beam headlamp height adjustment, an LED rear indicator, hazard warning flasher, a permanent headlamp beam, digital race instruments with 2D cluster, and an electronic immobilizer.
The lightweight material is all over the bike, including the front and the rear, the self supporting body work, and the engine spoiler made of carbon fiber.
The BMW HP2 Sport returns approximately 16-17 kmpl in the city with highway use seeing economy go up to 22-23 kmpl.
