The EcoSport will be offered in four trims, eight colours and three engine options including the 1-litre EcoBoost turbocharged mill. Manual transmissions will be available in both petrol and diesel spec while the automatic gearbox will come only in the petrol variant.

The EcoSport will also be equipped with Sync, Ford’s voice-enabled in-car connectivity system. Developed in collaboration with Microsoft, the technology will let you operate your Bluetooth-enabled phone and USB devices via voice commands.
The sub-4-metre EcoSport may also come with rear demister and parking sensors aside from whole raft of safety features such as driver and passenger airbags, ABS and EBD.
The vehicle’s unveiling was part of Ford’s new EcoSport Urban Discoveries campaign that will give 100 winners, picked through an online contest, a chance to drive the urban SUV around their cities.
The EcoSport will be on offer with Ford’s 1-litre, 3-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine that can put out 118PS of power and 125Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre diesel spec that powers the Fiesta is also on the anvil.
Despite its compact dimensions, the EcoSport is spacious enough to seat five in comfort.

The Ford EcoSport will be manufactured in four locations across the world including Ford’s Chennai plant, Chongqing in China; Camaçari, Brazil; and Rayong, Thailand
The EcoSport takes its inspiration from previous sportier models of the Blue Oval such as the Focus RS and is definitely on its way to appeal to the tastes of many.
