Infosys Finacle head Haragopal M resigns, Vishal Sikka ropes in ex-SAP exec Michael Reh

The global head of Vishal Sikka-led Infosys banking product business Finacle, Haragopal M has resigned from the company with a former executive of German software major SAP, Michael Reh taking over this role.

Haragopal, a 19-year-old veteran of Infosys who was a senior vice president is reportedly looking at the entrepreneurial route with plans to start a own venture. When contacted by FE, a spokesperson for Infosys said, “As a matter of policy we do not comment on the appointments or exits other than Members of the Board or Executive Officers.”

This is the first major exit from Infosys ever since the new CEO Vishal Sikka took over from August 1. Industry sources said that Sikka is getting executives from his erstwhile employer SAP to join Infosys.

Michael Reh, who held the role of executive vice president for business information and technology at SAP joined Infosys on October 1. Besides Reh, there are three other executives from SAP also joined Infosys.

Finacle, the long standing banking solution of Infosys has got a significant presence in India with majority of the banks using this software. Today, it has over 183 clients spread across 84 countries. The solution of Finacle include: core banking, e-banking, mobile banking, CRM, payments, treasury, liquidity & wealth management and Islamic banking.
