Air India CMD Rajiv Bansal gets 3 months extension

The government today gave another three months extension to current Air India CMD Rajiv Bansal.

Bansal, who is also an additional Secretary in the petroleum ministry, has an additional charge as the head of the national carrier.

Bansal was made the Chairman after former CMD Ashwani Lohani moved to railways as its chairman.

Bansal is also going to be the last CMD of Air India under government rule, as the government is in the process of selling its stake in the national carrier.
