Shares of Reliance Industries (RIL) were down 3 per cent at Rs 2,305 on the BSE in Tuesday’s intra-day, falling 7 per cent in the past two trading sessions, despite the company’s clarification on loan of Rs 750 crore granted to Shapoorji Pallonji Company by its arm Reliance Ventures Limited (RVL).

A sharp decline in stock price has seen, RIL’s market capitalisation decline by Rs 1.17 trillion in past two trading days.

The price of 10 gram of gold increased by Rs 130 on Tuesday, with 24 carat trading at Rs 49,650 and 22 carat at Rs 47,520.

One kg of silver is selling at Rs 64,700, down Rs 200 from yesterday.

In Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 51,980, while in Mumbai it is at Rs 49,650, according to the Goodreturns website.

Capital markets regulator Sebi on Monday barred 14 entities for indulging in insider trading and ordered impounding ill-gotten gains of Rs 2.94 crore in the matter of Lux Industries Ltd.

Those banned by Sebi include Udit Todi, the son of the managing director of Lux, and is currently holding the post of executive director in the company, according to an interim order.

Plastic products maker Supreme Industries Ltd on Monday reported a 21.31 per cent decline in consolidated profit to Rs 245.72 crore for the quarter ended in December 2021.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 312.28 crore during the October-December quarter of the previous fiscal, Supreme Industries Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

Zensar Technologies on Monday said its net profit declined 7.8 per cent to Rs 91 crore for the December 2021 quarter.

It had posted a net profit of Rs 98.7 crore in the year-ago period, Zensar Technologies said in a statement.

Its revenue, however, rose 21.6 per cent to Rs 1,102.5 crore in the reported quarter from Rs 906.5 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

Komaki Electric Vehicles on Monday announced the launch of its first battery-powered cruiser motorcycle Ranger and e-scooter Venice in the domestic market priced at Rs 1.68 lakh and Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

The two new vehicle models, which have been launched on the company's website, will be available at all Komaki dealerships from January 26, it said in a release.

Shares of Vodafone Idea dipped 5 per cent to Rs 11.03 on the BSE in Monday's intra-day trade after the company's losses widened 59.5 per cent to Rs 7,230 crore in Q3FY22 on a year-on-year (YoY) basis amid fall in revenue and subscribers. In the same period last year, the company had posted a loss of Rs 4,532 crore.

With today's decline, the stock of the telecom services provider has corrected 33 per cent from its 52-week high of Rs 16.79 touched on December 10, 2021.

Shares of PTC India Financial Services Ltd fell as much as 8.3% on Monday after India's market regulator directed the non-banking financial company over the weekend to address corporate governance issues before holding any board meeting.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) also asked PTC India Financial to file an action-taken report in four weeks, the company said.

Shares of HDFC Life Insurance hit a 52-week low of Rs 623, down 3 per cent on the BSE in Monday’s intra-day trade after the company reported a lower-than-expected 3.3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit at Rs 273.7 crore for the quarter ended December due to a decline in income from investment.

The stock of the private insurance firm fell below its previous low of Rs 627 hit on December 20, 2021. At 12:54 pm, it was down 2.2 per cent at Rs 627, as compared to a 2.12 per cent decline in the S&P BSE Sensex at 57,785 points.
