New Delhi: Tata Motors Ltd, India’s largest automobile maker, may be just around a year away from launching the first of two vehicles that are the outcome of its collaboration with British marquee brands Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR), which it acquired eight years ago for $2.3 billion from Ford Motor Co.

Tata Motors has awarded contracts to three key Indian auto parts suppliers to source components for sport utility vehicles (SUVs) being built in association with JLR, two people directly involved in the matter said on condition of anonymity.

At 11.15 am, the shares were trading 3.14 per cent higher at Rs 1,092.60. On NSE, the shares were trading 3.17 per cent higher at Rs 1,092.40. Sensex was up 304.40 points at 25,622.27 during the same time.

NEW DELHI: The old Airbus A-320 which made an emergency landing in Delhi on Monday night-leaving 20 passengers injured-had given signs of trouble earlier in the day, but these were either ignored or hastily addressed by the airline.

Author William Dalrymple, who was on this Khajuraho-Varanasi-Delhi flight, told the media that the flight was first cancelled in Khajuraho. All passengers were returned their check-in bags at the airport.

SBI Mutual Fund on Tuesday launched a close ended income scheme – the SBI Dual Advantage Fund-Series XI . The new fund offer (NFO) opens for subscription on September 8 and closes on September 22; No entry load and exit load will be applicable for the scheme. The minimum subscription amount is Rs 5,000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter.

The scheme’s performance will be benchmarked against Crisil MIP Blended Fund Index and its fund managers are Rajeev Radhakrishnan and Dharmendra Grover.
