Moody’s Investors Service on Thursday downgraded the corporate family rating (CFR) of Tata Motors (TML) and Jaguar and Land Rover Automotive.

The ratings agency downgraded the CFR of TML and the company’s senior unsecured instruments rating has been downgraded to Ba3 from Ba2 and stated that the outlook remains negative. It also dowgraded the CFR of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to B1 from Ba3 and the probability of default rating (PDR) to B1-PD from Ba3-PD.

India's benchmark 10-year bond yields dropped to their lowest in 20 months on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve signalled possible interest rate cuts later this year, while buying from state-run banks also aided.

The benchmark 10-year bond yield was at 6.75 per cent, as of 0345 GMT, its lowest level since Oct. 17, 2017, and down 9 basis points from its previous close.

New Delhi: India has issued draft rules to exempt electric vehicles from paying registration fee, the government said in a statement on Wednesday, as it looks to cut its dependence on fossil fuels.

The government has been pushing to boost the adoption of electric vehicles, as it tries to bring down its oil imports and curb pollution so it can meet its commitments as part of the 2015 Paris climate change treaty.
