India on Friday said Chinese actions over an extended period of time are responsible for the current situation on the border and it needs to stop creating obstructions and hindrances in the normal patrolling patterns of Indian troops.

The harsh remarks were made by India's Ambassador to China Vikram Misri in an interview.

The death of a father-son duo in police custody, allegedly due to torture, in Tuticorin has caused a furore in Tamil Nadu with DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi writing to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Skin related services will not be permitted presently. This should prominently be displayed in the shops, read an order from the state government.

Petrol prices on Friday crossed the Rs-80 mark in Delhi as fuel compnaies announced the 20th hike in a row. Petrol price was increased by 21 paise to Rs 80.13 per litre in Delhi. Diesel jumped by 17 paise to Rs 80.19 per litre.

In Mumbai, the price of petrol touched Rs 86.91 a litre and diesel went up to Rs 78.51 a litre. In Kolkata, the prices were at Rs 81.82 a litre and Rs 75.34 a litre, respectively.

IndiGo starts flexible payment scheme: Pay 10% fare now and get ticket

IndiGo announced a flexible payment option allowing customers to secure booking on a domestic flight by paying 10 per cent of the ticket price upfront or minimum Rs 400 per passenger. Customers will have to pay the balance upto fifteen days from date of booking or fifteen days before departure, the airline announced said.

The move will help customers lock in fares and help IndiGo grow bookings as it expects a shift in demand from other airlines.
