Jim Ball and Steve Rockwood founded Alpine Access, Inc. in 1998. Alpine Access provides outsourced in-bound call services to consumer retail clients, but don't call it a call center. Instead of a centralized call center, Alpine Access routs calls and caller information over the Internet to thousands of its customer service agents who work from their homes. Alpine Access company handles sales, customer service, tech support, and help desk calls for its growing list of clients that has included such notable names as Office Depot, J. Crew, and the Internal Revenue Service. Alpine Access' customers include multichannel catalogs, national mass market retailers, financial services providers, and government agencies.
