Zaner-Bloser Educational Publishers, Inc. company was founded in 1888 by Charles Zaner as the Zanerian College of Penmanship; it became Zaner-Bloser in 1895 and was acquired in 1972 by children's magazine publisher Highlights for Children. Zaner-Bloser covers two of the three Rs from A to Z. The company publishes teaching guides, workbooks, and CD ROM instruction kits on reading, writing, vocabulary, handwriting, spelling, and other skills for kids in grades K through 8.
