Megapulse is a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced navigation and communication products. Megapulse is the market leader in Loran-C and eLoran technology and is the sole source supplier of solid state transmitters for the Loran system. Loran is a terrestrial radionavigation system that can determine the position of a ship or aircraft or land mobile vehicle through the use of low frequency radio signals broadcast from transmitters located across the globe. Loran signals can be used to measure position, velocity, time, orientation and for the broadcast of data. Megapulse eLoran equipment incorporates technologies that substantially enhance and extend the capability of the Loran system. eLoran is being adopted worldwide as the most cost effective and necessary complement to satellites for aviation, timing and maritime applications. Significantly, Megapulse invented and developed the H-field antenna technology needed for eLoran. Other examples of breakthrough technologies include Loran-as-pseudolite operation, a Loran data channel for the wide-area broadcast of Differential GPS (“DGPS”) corrections and coded Loran signals for jamming resistance.
