KBC Group is one of Belgium's largest financial services firms. The company operates more than 850 bank branches in Belgium and another 1,300 in Central and Eastern Europe. Lone Star, which had been thwarted in two previous attempts, is selling its interest to another Korean financial institution, Hana Bank.

One of Thailand's largest financial institutions, Krung Thai Bank provides banking and financial services to consumers and corporate clients throughout the country. It offers deposit accounts, credit and debit cards, loans, mortgages, and leasing, as well as life insurance, commercial insurance, wealth management, and access to investments such as securities and mutual funds. In addition to approximately 900 domestic locations, Krung Thai Bank also operates a fleet of some 90 mobile vans that provide on-the-go banking services in remote areas and at tourist destinations and festival sites. Founded in 1966, Krung Thai Bank listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1989.

Landesbank Baden-Wurttemberg (LBBW) acts as the central bank to savings banks in the German states of Baden-Wurttemberg, Rhineland Palatinate, and Saxony. The bank handles large transactions (wholesale banking, financial securities, foreign exchange) too costly for the smaller state savings banks. Through its regional banks, Baden Wurttembergische Bank, and Sachsen Bank and Rheinland-Pfalz Bank, LBBW also provides traditional retail banking services such as real estate and commercial loans, and portfolio management at more than 200 branches. Other subsidiaries provide leasing, factoring, venture capital, and equity financing services.
