The hospital relies heavily on donations and federal funding to train pediatric medical professionals, conduct extensive research, and provide full-service medical care for children. The Houston-area hospital, part of the Texas Medical Center complex, has clinical facilities for every ailment ranging from psychological troubles to surgery and the ensuing physical rehabilitation.

Texas has universities, horse farms, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton. Formerly Denton Community Hospital, the organization is a full-service, acute care facility serving northern Texas and southern Oklahoma. Following a 2005 completion of the hospital's expansion project, it houses some 250 private rooms, nine surgical suites, two cardiac catheterization labs, and a 28-bed ER department. It opened a neonatal ICU in 2006. Texas Health Presbyterian Denton is owned by local healthcare giant Texas Health Resources (THR).

Texas Health Resources (THR) is takin' care of Texas with nearly 30 health care facilities in the Dallas/Fort Worth and North Texas region. Formed in 1997 by the merger of Harris Methodist Health System, Presbyterian Healthcare System, and Arlington Memorial Hospital Foundation, the not-for-profit system includes more than a dozen acute care and long-term care hospitals, in addition to mental health and retirement centers, physician offices, and home health agencies. THR's network includes more than 3,600 doctors and some 3,400 licensed beds. The company's Research and Education Institute for Texas Health Resources provides clinical studies management, medical device testing, and medical training services.
