Temple University Health System (TUHS), a network of academic and community hospitals associated with the Temple University School of Medicine, provides primary, secondary, and tertiary care to residents in the Philadelphia County (Pennsylvania) area. Programs include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.

Texas Children's Hospital has the doctors and facilities to diagnose and treat sick children. The hospital is the flagship facility of Texas Children's Hospital Integrated Delivery System, a health care network focused entirely on kids. The hospital relies heavily on donations and federal funding to train pediatric medical professionals, conduct extensive research, and provide full-service medical care for children. The Houston-area hospital, part of the Texas Medical Center complex, has clinical facilities for every ailment ranging from psychological troubles to surgery and the ensuing physical rehabilitation.

Texas has universities, horse farms, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton. Formerly Denton Community Hospital, the organization is a full-service, acute care facility serving northern Texas and southern Oklahoma. Following a 2005 completion of the hospital's expansion project, it houses some 250 private rooms, nine surgical suites, two cardiac catheterization labs, and a 28-bed ER department. It opened a neonatal ICU in 2006. Texas Health Presbyterian Denton is owned by local healthcare giant Texas Health Resources (THR).
