Through subsidiary Femcare Limited, the Femcare group manufactures and distributes the Filshie Clip System, a device used to block a woman's Fallopian tubes for contraceptive purposes, as well as a number of other products, including HRT trays (used in hormone implantation procedures) and silicone rings (another way to block the Fallopian tubes). Femcare also provides contract manufacturing services to other medical device firms. A second subsidiary, Nikomed, distributes medical equipment in the UK, specializing in gynecological, surgical, and urological equipment.
