Children's Healthcare of Atlanta hospital system specializes in pediatric health care, research, and education. It operates three hospitals (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, Hughes Spalding, and Scottish Rite) with a total of some 520 beds and treats more than half a million patients annually. It also operates about 20 health care facilities, including the Aflac Cancer Center, and employs about 1,600 physicians with more than 30 specialties. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is known for its pediatric services in cardiology, oncology, neonatal, orthopedics, rehabilitation, organ transplant, and general surgery.
