American Postal Workers Union Health Plan

American Postal Workers Union (APWU) Health Plan is the health plan division of the American Postal Workers Union, an affiliate of the AFL-CIO. Providing health benefits to some 140,000 members, the not-for-profit organization is a self-administered and self-underwritten health plan. It provides a fee-for-service plan featuring a preferred provider network, as well as a lower-cost, high-deductible option with a health reimbursement account. The plan's provider network includes some 6.000 hospitals and nearly 600,000 health care providers across the US and its territories. The APWU Health Plan was founded in 1960.
