British and brash, Virgin Atlantic Airways is a leading player in Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group collection of branded companies. From its hubs in the UK (London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports, plus Manchester), the airline serves about 30 destinations around the world with a fleet of about 40 aircraft. VivaAerobus is a low-cost carrier that flies to 18 cities in Mexico from its hub in Monterrey and also lands in Austin, Texas, in the US. With VivaAerobus' no-frills service, passengers pay to check their luggage and purchase food; seating is first-come, first-serve. The airline was created in 2006 by European discount airline Ryanair and Mexican bus transportation company IAMSA. It has a fleet of nine Boeing 737-300 jets, but it also offers bus travel along with its flights to more than 70 destinations in Mexico and three in Texas (from Austin, the shuttle goes to El Paso, San Antonio, or Houston.)

Vueling Airlines for an elevated travel experience. The discount airline offers more than 80 daily flights on 90 domestic and international routes. It serves major cities throughout Spain as well as several top destinations in Europe, including Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Paris, and Rome. Vueling operates a fleet of 35 aircraft, all Airbus A320s, from its base in Barcelona and from hubs in Valencia and Madrid. The airline took to the skies in mid-2004. It took its name by adding a common English suffix to the Spanish word for "flight" (vuelo). In July 2009, Vueling merged with Iberia's low-fare airline, Clickair. Iberia owns 45% of the new Vueling.
