At Lifeway Foods, we are on a mission. A mission that started in 1986 when we brought our unique probiotic recipe for Lifeway Kefir to America. Pecorino Romano, Grana Padano, Asiago, and plain old Parmigiano Reggiano are the stuff of life for Lotito Foods. At its two plants in New Jersey, the company cuts and packages domestic and imported Italian hard cheeses for its retail and foodservice customers. Various product options are available -- Lotito will grate, shred, halve, cube, or wedge your cheese, or you can order whole wheels. Along with its Gabriella and Suprema brands, the company packages its cheeses under private labels for retailers. Owned and operated by the third generation of the Lotito family, the company expanded dramatically in 2002, when it purchased the assets of bankrupt Suprema Specialties for $4 million. Among its foodservice customers is Darden Restaurants (owner of Olive Garden and Red Lobster).
