Transurban Group is a toll road owner and operator with interests in Australia and North America. Our focus is on partnering with governments to deliver roads that meet community needs over the long term. Transurban develops and operates toll roads multiple toll roads. Its holdings include CityLink (a 22-kilometer highway in Melbourne), and interests in two Sydney toll roads: the 21-kilometer Hills M2, and a 45% stake in the 40-kilometer Westlink M7. Transurban's Roam unit markets toll tags, used on the company's toll roads and other Australian highways equipped with electronic collection systems. In the US, Transurban operates Virginia's Pocahontas Parkway, a 14-kilometer (nine-mile), four-lane toll road that provides access to Richmond International Airport. In November 2009, Transurban rejected a $4.6 billion takeover bid from two Canadian pension funds, yet left open the possibility of future negotiations.
