Silicon Logic Engineering, Inc.

Silicon Logic Engineering (SLE) provides services for designing application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), including the creation of ready-made semiconductor intellectual property (SIP) "blocks" that can be incorporated into chip designs. SLE works with leading ASIC suppliers, such as IBM Microelectronics and Texas Instruments, which fabricate the chips. It was founded in 1996 by engineers from Cray Research, a pioneering maker of supercomputers. In mid-2006 Tundra Semiconductor acquired SLE for $14 million in cash and stock and made it a division. In June 2009 Tundra and SLE were acquired by Integrated Device Technology (IDT) for approximately $105 million.
