The origin of Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC) dates back to 1990 when the Symbiosis Society decided to establish an institute to impart basic knowledge and training to aspiring journalists. This was the Symbiosis Institute of Journalism and Communication (SIJC), a compact, autonomous, post-graduate media school with a focus on journalism. Provides two year post-graduate diploma courses in mass communication and communication management.
