Ford India sales up 11% at 27,580 units in March; exports rise 15%

Ford India on Monday reported a 11.06 per cent increase in total sales at 27,580 units in March against 24,832 units in the same month last year.

The company said its domestic sales stood at 9,016 units in March as against 8,700 units in the year-ago month, up 3.63 per cent. Read More

Mahindra and Mahindra and the India subsidiary of Ford Motor have signed five non-binding agreements, furthering the accord signed between them last September, Mahindra said.

Mahindra, Ford may firm up pact soon to ride together

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) and Ford India are likely to formalise a memorandum of understanding that they signed six months ago and establish a partnership in the coming week to 10 days, according to several people with knowledge of the matter.

Ford will pump out more profitable big SUVs to fund its future

Southfield, Michigan: Ford Motor Co. is spending $25 million more at its Kentucky factory to pump out more of the profitable big sport utility vehicles that are critical to funding its ambitious—and expensive—electric and self-driving vehicle plans.

The investment will allow the second-largest US automaker to boost production of the new Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition by 25% from what the company was planning last fall, when the redesigned models first hit showrooms. Read More
