Three killed as crane collapses on sets of Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2'

Three people were killed while 10 others were injured after a crane collapsed on the set of actor Kamal Haasan's upcoming film 'Indian 2' near Chennai on Wednesday.
While Haasan was unharmed, three people working on the set at EVP Film City in Poonamallee lost their lives.
The injured were undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The accident took at suburban Nazrathpet when the crane employed to erect the set crashed, killing three and leaving nine injured, police said.
In a series of tweets in Tamil, the actor said he was pained by the death of his colleagues.
"Today's accident is the most horrific. I miss losing three colleagues. The grief of the family who lost their loved ones will be many times more than my pain. I share their pain. My deepest sympathies to them," he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday claimed that former premier Rajiv Gandhi abolished the inheritance tax in 1985 after the death of his mother Indira Gandhi to save her wealth from going to the government, continuing his attack on the Congress on the wealth redistribution issue.
Addressing an election rally in Madhya Pradesh's Morena city, Modi alleged that Congress wanted to bring back the inheritance tax or estate duty, a levy imposed on inherited movable and immovable assets.

Shares of Housing & Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) hit a record high of Rs 234.30, zooming 15 per cent on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Friday's intra-day trade amid heavy volumes on expectations of good growth going forward.
