Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh on Tuesday apologised for the ongoing violence in the state, promising that normalcy will be restored in 2025.

“This entire year has been very unfortunate. I want to say sorry to the people of the state for what's happening till today since last May 3. Many people lost their loved ones. Many people left their homes. I feel regret. I apologise. But now, I hope after seeing the last three to four months progress towards the peace, I believe by 2025, the normalcy will be restored in the state," the chief minister said.

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched the Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana, registering the priest of Marghat Wale Baba temple near Kashmiri Gate ISBT here.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) cautioned in its bi-annual Financial Stability Report (FSR) that borrowers with unsecured loans, such as credit cards and personal loans, who also have larger secured loans, risk triggering delinquencies in the secured loans if they default on the smaller ones. Adani Enterprises (AEL) announced on Monday that it has entered into an agreement to sell its entire stake of around 44 per cent in FMCG joint venture Adani Wilmar (AWL). State-run Indian refiner Bharat Petroleum Corp is buying Middle Eastern crude to make up for less supply of cheaper Russian oil, its head of finance Vetsa Ramakrishna Gupta said in a recent interview.

Indian state refiners, which typically buy Russian oil in the spot market rather than under long-term contract, are unable to procure about 8 million to 10 million barrels of crude for January loading that they have previously seen available in the market, sources said earlier this month.
