The Delhi Cabinet on Monday decided to implement the 'One Nation One Ration Card' (ONORC) scheme and the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY).

The Supreme Court had earlier ordered implementation of the ONORC scheme across the country by July 31.

All passengers flying to West Bengal, on both commercial and non-commercial flights, will have to produce either a certificate that shows they are fully vaccinated or a COVID-19 negative (RT-PCR) test report, the state government wrote to the civil aviation ministry on Monday.

The decision will be implemented with immediate effect, West Bengal Home Secretary BP Gopalika wrote to Civil Aviation secretary PS Kharola.

India has been offered 7.5 million doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine through the COVAX global vaccine sharing programme, but it is not clear when the jabs will arrive in the country as a consensus on the indemnity clause is yet to be reached, sources said.

The government last week said that it is working actively with vaccine manufacturer Moderna to see how its vaccine can be made available in the country.

Canada on Monday announced that it is extending the ban on incoming passenger flights from India for another month due to the Delta variant of COVID-19.

The Delta variant was primarily responsible for the second wave of COVID-19 in the country, accounting for over 80 per cent of new cases, Dr N K Arora, co-chair of Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium said, underlining that the cases may go up if a new, more infectious variant comes.

According to L&T, the order value ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore.

The stock was trading higher for the sixth trading session. It surpassed its previous high of Rs 1,624.90, touched on July 15, 2021.

The lenders of the Reliance Commercial Finance (RCF) have approved the resolution plan for the company and have selected Authum Investment and Infrastructure Ltd as the successful bidder, Reliance Capital said on Monday.

Authum is expected to take over RCF for about Rs 1,600 crore.

India saw a single day rise of 38,164 new coronavirus infections, while the death toll climbed to 4,14,108 with 499 fresh fatalities, the lowest in over three months, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.
