Global soft drinks major Coca-Cola Company on Tuesday said its India business recorded the best-ever volumetrically growth in the second quarter.

It reported unit case volume growth in the June quarter, helped by its sparkling soft drinks portfolio and fruit drink brand Maaza.

Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi will appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday for the third round of questioning related to a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has tested positive for COVID-19 and isolated himself at his residence on the advice of doctors, officials said on Tuesday.

Kumar had also contracted the virus in January this year and experienced mild symptoms, they said.

HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC) has assigned the three schemes managed by Prashant Jain to new fund managers as the fund house seeks to maintain its recent performance improvement and market share gains even after the exit of its storied fund manager.

Jain, who was chief investment officer (CIO) at HDFC AMC, stepped down on Friday after serving 19 years at the fund house. He handled three flagship schemes of HDFC AMC which had combined assets under management of nearly Rs 90,000 crore as of June 2022.

The CBI has filed a charge sheet against noted Pune-based builder Avinash Bhosale and his companies in connection with the Yes Bank-DHFL scam, officials said on Monday.

The agency has also named Satyen Tandon as an accused in the charge sheet filed before a special CBI court in Mumbai, they said.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear today a plea by Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala challenging the Election Law Amendment Act that enables linking electoral roll data with the Aadhaar ecosystem. A bench of justices D Y Chandrachud and A S Bopanna is likely to take up the petition.

The Congress leader, in his plea, submitted that the linking of the cards “infringes upon the fundamental right of privacy of citizens and is unconstitutional and ultra vires the Constitution".

Gold and Silver prices in Monday's early trade remained unchanged as 10 gram of 24-carat of yellow metal is currently trading at Rs 51,160. Silver, on other the hand, was selling at Rs 55,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, 10 gram of 22-carat gold is trading at Rs 46,900 on Monday.

Gold slipped 0.14 per cent to $1,724.05 per ounce on Monday in global trades.
