The Tamil Nadu government sealed the AIADMK party headquarters in Chennai following clashes between party members on Monday in the wake of the power struggle between former chief ministers Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam, resulting in the sealing of the party office by revenue officials.

"Due to the violence at AIADMK party office, RDO has sealed the party HQ. To avoid further law & order issues, either they or their advocates should be present before RDO office on July 25 to decide the control over party headquarter," said Chennai Police.

The court asked directed Mallya and his son Siddharth to pay back $40 million with 8 per cent interest for repayment of the loan. Mallya’s properties will be attached if he fails to make the payment.

At least 16 people have been killed while 15,000 pilgrims, who were stranded near the Amarnath holy cave in Jammu and Kashmir due to a flash flood triggered by a cloudburst, have been shifted to the lower base camp of Panjtarni, officials said Saturday.

A Border Security Force spokesperson in Delhi said "16 bodies have been shifted to Baltal."
