The Supreme Court granted on Wednesday three months' extension till August 14 to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to complete its probe into allegations made by US short seller Hindenburg Research against the Adani Group.

The top court had asked for a report by May 2 and the market regulator later sought a six-month extension.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday made helmets mandatory for high-risk positions. This, among several other changes, was approved by the Chief Executives' Committee (CEC) on recommendations from the men's cricket committee led by Sourav Ganguly and the women's cricket committee.

"We also discussed player safety, which is very important for us," Ganguly said. "The committee decided that it was best to make the use of helmets mandatory in certain positions to ensure the safety of players."

In comparison, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.25 per cent at 62,187.60 at 12:08 PM. A combined around 15 million shares of the company had changed hands on the NSE and BSE.

The stock of state-owned civil construction company quoted at its highest level since January 2020. In past seven weeks, it has zoomed 45 per cent from a level of Rs 71 on March 28, 2023.

UPI-related scams account for 55% of total digital payments frauds in India

Out of all the reported digital payment frauds in India, over half (55 per cent) were United Payments Interface (UPI)-related, a new report released on Tuesday revealed. Another 18 per cent are card related, 12 per cent are related to internet banking and nine per cent are from phishing calls.

Most of the UPI-related frauds, however, have a low ticket size. According to "The Anatomy of Fraud 2023" report by digital solutions platform Bureau and consultancy firm Praxis, 50 per cent of these have an average ticket size of less than Rs 10,000.
