American energy harvesting company Nikola Labs has launched a special cover case for iPhone 6. The cover converts the wasted 90% of energy that the phone produces in trying to pump out a cellphone signal, and puts it back into the phone, thus, powering the phone for up to 30% longer.

The cover is not an extra battery, it simply works passively. Essentially, it is harvesting back the ambient RF energy already being produced by the phone, according to TechCrunch.

IT major Infosys has asked the West Bengal government to either give SEZ status to the company’s proposed software development centre at Rajarhat or repay the money it has given in advance for the land.

“We have told the state government that it should either give us the SEZ status or pay back the money which was advanced to get the land,” a senior Infosys official told PTI.

After being bogged down by asset quality worries for more than two years, private sector lenders got a breather in January-March quarter having reported no large increase in bad loans. Barring the biggest player, ICICI Bank, most lenders reported steady gross non-performing assets for the quarter.

HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, YES Bank and Federal Bank reported steady gross NPAs. ICICI Bank saw a rise in gross NPAs to R15,097 crore (3.78% of loans) from R10,554 crore (3.4%) in the previous quarter. Bulk of its bad loans came from restructured portfolio during the quarter. Consequently, provisions rose a massive 88% to Rs 1345 crore.

NEW DELHI: The Indian market has become an underperformer from being one of the top performing markets in the calendar year 2014. The S&P BSE Sensex, which is down over 10 per cent from its record high of 30,024.74, has erased gains made so far in the year 2015.

It is the worst-performing market among major global indices so far in the year. However, analysts are of the view that the India growth story is still intact and, therefore, long-term investors should use this short-term correction as an opportunity.

Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra's total tractor sales in April were down 13% at 18,011 units as against 20,731 units in the same month last year.

Domestic tractor sales in April stood at 17,006 units against 19,895 units in the year-ago month, down 15%, the company said in a filing to BSE.

Motorcycle sales during the month declined by five per cent at 2,85,791 units as against 2,99,636 units in April last year, the company said.

The Anand-headquartered major reported a top line of Rs 20,735 crore for the year ended March 2015. The co-operative does not disclose bottom line figures.
