MUMBAI/BENGALURU: Tata Consultancy Services negotiated with Dell to buy its information technology management business Perot Systems, but a disagreement over price resulted in the talks falling through, two people directly aware of the discussions said.

N Chandrasekaran, the CEO of India's largest software company, and TCS global head of merger and acquisitions Debasis Poddar, were involved in the talks that took place at least a week ago, according to the sources.

NEW DELHI: Realty major DLF has received Rs 1,992 crore from Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC, thereby completing the deal to sell 50 per cent stake each in two upcoming projects in the national capital.

The country's largest realty company had in September this year had announced the stake sale in the two projects to GIC. Last month, the fair trade regulator CCI had approved joint venture with GIC for these two projects in central Delhi.

As Sebi tightens its noose on defaulters and market manipulators, the number of attachment proceedings initiated by the markets regulator against the defaulters has surged by more than five times to 1,610 in the past fiscal.

In comparison, the number of attachment proceedings initiated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) stood at 299 in 2013-14.

Kerala Governor Justice P Sathasivam failed to board an Air India flight from Kochi to the state capital after the pilot reportedly refused to wait for the dignitary and took off.
