Mumbai: Severe under-utilisation of refining assets in four countries—Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and Venezuela—and Reliance Industries Ltd’s (RIL) shift in feedstock towards ethane will boost refining margins for RIL, according to analysts. RIL exports majority of its products from its twin refineries in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

“Utilization of the Latin American refineries does not appear to be improving any time soon. This would enable RIL to continue clocking GRM (gross refining margin) of 11.5 per barrel during FY19-20,” said Motilal Oswal Securities Ltd in its report dated 13 November.

The Gurgaon Police has registered an FIR against PVR Cinemas, and its promoters and directors on charges of cheating and forgery on the directions of a Gurgaon civil court. Its promoters Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Niharika Bijli and eight others have been booked under relevant sections of the IPC for selling stocks at inflated value of Rs 820 crore illegally and causing loss to Gurgaon-based real estate companies.

The FIR was registered at the Sushant Lok phase-1 police station on Wednesday. The case came to light when Elan Group filed a complaint in the court, which on November 17 directed the local police to register an FIR against Chairman and Managing Director of PVR Limited Ajay Bijli, and directors Niharika Bijli, Sanjeev Kumar Bijli and others.

Bharat Petroleum launched a tender seeking a spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo for delivery in January and a separate tender for three cargoes for May, August and October, trade sources said.

New Delhi: GMR Infrastructure Ltd’s standalone net loss for the September quarter narrowed to Rs276.41 crore due to a fall in provision for diminution in value of investments and advances.

The company had reported a net loss of Rs700.34 crore in the year-ago period. Its total revenue declined to Rs206 crore as against over Rs331.22 crore a year ago, GMR Infrastructure said in a BSE filing on Wednesday.
