Information Technology (IT) major Infosys escalated the legal tussle with Cognizant by filing a countersuit in a US court, accusing the Nasdaq-listed firm and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ravi Kumar of anticompetitive practices by maintaining its monopoly.

Infosys has also alleged that Kumar misused sensitive information that slowed the launch of the company’s health care platform Helix.

In a step towards enhancing safety and emergency response, energy major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has ramped up its fleet of ambulances in Assam by adding 65 new vehicles, an official said on Friday.

The new ambulances, which were leased from the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) for a period of five years, were added to ONGC's fleet in Sivasagar, he said.

India Post recently introduced Aadhaar-based authentication for Post Office Savings Account (POSA) opening and other transactions, enabling a paperless know your customer (KYC) process. Effective from January 6, 2025, it’s a major upgrade to India’s postal banking operations.

The e-KYC-based account opening process will be implemented in phases. In Phase I, new customers will be on-boarded, and Customer Information Files (CIFs) will be created using Aadhaar authentication.

The Enforcement Directorate Friday conducted searches in multiple states, including in Bihar on premises liked to an RJD MLA, as part of a money laundering investigation linked to an alleged funds embezzlement at a state cooperative bank, official sources said.
