New Delhi: Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is likely to change certain provisions in the takeover regulations, including those pertaining to revision of open offer price, a senior official said.

The watchdog’s move comes after public consultations on a discussion paper about review of SAST (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations.

German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz said on Monday that all its diesel models in India from now on will have engines which comply with Bharat Stage (BS) VI emission norms.

The company, which launched Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe starting at Rs 25.5 million, has already launched one BS VI compliant diesel model S-Class ( S 350 d) in the country in February this year.

Yes Bank today said it has received approval from market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for acting as custodian of securities. The stage is set for intensification of attempts at public sector bank consolidation after a presentation by State Bank of India (SBI) chairman Rajnish Kumar at a recent meeting of bankers, although it isn't quite clear on who will make the first move.
