Bank of Baroda on Friday reported a net loss of Rs 3,102 crore for the three months to March 2018, owing to a more-than-doubling of its provisions on an year-on-year basis to Rs 6,672 crore in Q4.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) today extended the deadline for submission of public comments on the new telecom policy to June 1 as many stakeholders had sought more time to give their views, according to an official release. MUMBAI | NEW DELHI: Negotiations between Reliance Communications and Ericsson for a settlement have hit a stalemate with the Swedish telecom equipment maker rejecting two proposals of the Anil Ambani owned operator.

According to people familiar with the development, RCom had offered either a payment guarantee by an Anil Ambani-controlled company or an undertaking by the directors of the telco and its two units — Reliance Infratel and Reliance Telecom — that the Swedish equipment maker would be paid within 15 days if it withdraws its insolvency petition.

In an early morning development, security forces have eliminated five terrorists in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Tangdhar sector is located in Kupwara district of North Kashmir. The forces foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists and managed to gun them down. Unhappy with projections for 2018-19 made by Punjab National Bank (PNB) in a presentation, the finance ministry has asked the fraud-hit lender to give another presentation with “realistic numbers”, sources said.
