Venezuela’s state-run PDVSA has shipped a crude cargo valued at $35 million as partial payment to Indian oil company ONGC Videsh Ltd for overdue dividends from a joint venture, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The payment is based on an agreement signed in 2016 by PDVSA and ONGC Videsh, the overseas investment arm of India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corp, to repatriate about $530 million in dividends due from their San Cristobal oil project in Venezuela.

Shares of Larsen & Toubro ((L&T) were up by 6% at Rs 1,379 per share on the BSE in early morning trade after the company reported 23% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 22.30 billion in September quarter (Q2FY19). The consolidated gross revenue during the quarter grew 21% at Rs 320.81 billion on a Y-o-Y basis.

Even if the 13 completed and incomplete projects of IL&FS are sold, the lenders — and not the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) — will have the first right on the funds.

These disputed projects include three in Assam, two each in West Bengal and Maharashtra, and one each in Meghalaya, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttar Pradesh. The arbitration claims in these projects are worth Rs 38.54 billion.

The country's largest lender SBI has halved the daily cash withdrawal limit from ATMs for certain debit-card holders to Rs 20,000 from Wednesday.

The withdrawal limit has been curtailed on Classic and Maestro debit cards, held by a large number of the bank customers.
